I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. If you follow along on Instagram you saw that we went on a little staycation. We actually didn’t tell our kids we were going anywhere, we just got in the car and started driving. When we passed all our familiar places, they finally asked where we were going? We told them we were going to stay the night at a hotel and go to Lagoon the next day. They were really excited. We swam our heart out at the hotel and had a great time at Lagoon. I should have known better, but the first ride I went on was a roller coaster, called The Cannibal. It was really fun, but after that I never did feel quite right. 🤢 It’s a good thing my kids don’t really like the big roller coasters yet, because I don’t think I could have handled another one. They were content with the kids rides and smaller roller coasters, and I could handle most of those. We did have one melt down. Liam, my three year old, wanted to go on a ride called the Paratrooper. It’s basically like a Ferris wheel, but goes really fast. Everyone loaded on and Owen, one of my twins, started having a little melt down, he was crying, saying he was scared and he wanted to get off. I was about ready to flag down the ride attendant and ask her if he could get off, when my husband, Mike, talked to him and calmed him down. He stayed on the ride and guess what, when he got off, he told me, “that ride was awesome Mom.”  We all came home tired and happy.  On Monday we swam some more and had a family barbecue. It was a great way to spend the holiday weekend.

Did you have any plans over the holiday weekend?
